Not the best start to the season for the 1sts

Northop Hall 1st 3 – 2 WPLHC 1sts

Park started the game well and took the lead early on with a goal from newcomer Kirsty Norwood. Park’s 2nd goal came not long after when Jaz Barlow made sure Rhona Logie’s effort crossed the Northop Line. Park with a lead switched off and where punished when Northop scored the first of their goals. Park had more chances to increase their lead before half time but weren’t clinical enough in front of goal. Northop restructured and made their substitutions wisely and manage to grab an equaliser early in the 2nd half. They could have increased their lead but Julie Rafferty made a superb goal line clearance to keep Park’s hope of a point alive. Unfortunately for Park fitness levels dipped and Northop grabbed a winner close to the end of the game. Although Park were defeated there was some impressive team play which bodes well for the rest of the season.
