The 3s travelled to Malpas today to play Deeside 6s, knowing 3 points could put them top. Park started brightly and went two up with father and son John and Ryan Crouchley scoring. Deeside worked hard and had a number of chances that were thwarted by keeper Tim Wylie. Deeside did get one back from a short making it 2 1 at halftime.
Park’s team solidarity began to wane at the start of the second half gifting the opposition possession and chances. Winnington regained their team composure and fought back finding 3 more goals through Tom Howard and a brace from Liam Mckee. Man of the match went to keeper Tim Wylie. The 3rd team are now 2nd in the league.
