The Winnington 3rd lost 5-1 away to Chester putting a dent in their promotion hopes. The third string started off well with the first 15 minutes seeing both sides creating chances, for the remainder of the first half the 3rd team lost some of their shape and conceded 2 goals before the break. The second half Winnington kept a better shape but Chester had a host of chances got 3 goals in 10 minutes 2 form short corners and 1 deflected in, it could have been more were it not for the heroics from Jake Spencer-Kellett in goals that earned him the man of the match. James Egerton got the consolation goal for the third team.
