Battling seconds can't break down Alderley

Winnington 2s played promotion hopefuls Alderley Edge 4s this weekend and were very unlucky not to get at least a point. The second string almost got the opener but conceded Alderley’s first a minute later and went into the break 1-0 down. Winnington 2s dominated the first 25 minutes of the second half creating a host of chances but could not find the back of the net. Alderley got their second from a short with 5 minutes to go.
