Saturday 16th September

Due to unavailability Park travelled away to Alderley without a GK but team stalwart Julia Harries donned the kit and made vital saves throughout the game which ultimately meant Park came away with a point. Park had to make changes to their structure due to this positional change but defensive unit of Becky Forster, Isla Golding, Beth Preston & Helen Cartin were outstanding throughout the game. Parks goal came from good link up play which saw Nat Ofoche firing home from a well worked move involving Charlotte Caldwell & Olivia Moynihan.

The second half found Park under the cosh but Harries in goal made many fine saves but ultimately Alderley's barrage gave them the equaliser. Parks front line led by Katie Beasley ran tirelessly throughout and youngster Olivia Jones who made her debut added speed and fantastic positional play which bodes well for the season ahead. Park found themselves reduced to 10 players for 2 minutes when a green card was issued to Helen Cartin - we were all a bit confused as to why.

Park's core midfielder Vicky Curran left the field with a slight twinge - hopefully she recovers before the next game.

A hard fought point but a well contested game played in a pleasant manner.
