Park came up against a well drilled Neston side and found themselves three goals behind within the first 25 minutes. Park’s stand-in keeper Becky Forster also saved many Neston attacks but two of Neston’s three goals came via deflections which left the keeper little chance of stopping them. Park reorganised at half time and focussed on keeping the Neston attack at bay which they did but unfortunately this left little chance to attack. Park welcomed two additional new players this weekend, both Chloe Hodkinson and Hermione “Mini” Mason slotted into the side which bodes well for the newly promoted side. Beth Preston particularly stood out in defence and had probably one of her busiest games for Park as she faced onslaught after onslaught from the Neston forwards.
